The Wrigster always works for food. Here he is showing off Patrick's favorite trick that he performs: nose trick!

Beautiful Spring!
I am loving the springtime at our house! Since we moved in last year at the end of May, it has been exciting to see all of the plants bloom in our front and back yards! Sorry for the poor quality, but they are all from my iphone (I'm hoping for a new camera for my birthday) as my phone is almost always with me! I believe these the first few photos are the Japanese magnolia tree in our front yard.
I couldn't believe it, but I have a dogwood tree in my backyard!! I saw it when I woke up one morning through my large bedroom windows! My mom and I are always on the lookout for dogwoods as one of our favorite trees and I just couldn't believe my luck when I realized we have one in our yard!! (I guess I shouldn't be surprised as Atlanta is home of the Dogwood Festival, but I am still quite elated!) It is a little scraggly and has almost completely bloomed, but it's there front and center!
The rest of the photos are of the many azaleas that are in our yard. The ones in the back are huge!

And of course, I have to include a picture of the Wrigster watching me take pictures of the backyard without him. Such a sad, little face! I can't hardly stand it!! (Please pardon the mess around the door; we need to do a little cleaning up of the back deck!)

Day 2
Day 2 of plyometrics is not my friend. I must say that I don't mind doing lunges, but my left knee can't handle the jumping into lunges. Patrick faired better than I. I'll take day 1 over day 2 any day! Bring on the pull-ups (modified, of course, because we all know I can't do a real pull-up...yet!) and push-ups!
Last night I made some ribs for myself (not bland enough for my baby yet) and thought they were okay, but the ones that Carolyn from work had made me were much better. I need to find the right spices from McCormick that she uses and find the right sauce. HOWEVER, tonight, I enjoyed the other 3 ribs from last night and oh my gosh, they were so much better! I really guess you need to let them soak in the sauce before you eat them! Mmm! I can't wait to try some different sauces and practice my rib making skills!
Now I'm off to bed so I can do day 3 of P90X! Here's to putting Wrigs to sleep in his own bed instead of him laying across my stomach, lap, and computer!

Weekend Recap
This weekend has been quite relaxing for us. Patrick had his stomach scoped on Friday, but he got very little anesthesia for it so he didn't have any funny statements this time. These are two very amusing videos showing people after anesthesia. Kid after anesthesia and girl after wisdom teeth surgery. Both are from Today's Big Thing. I only wish Patrick had been as amusing, but I'm glad that the scope went well. We still don't know anything, but hopefully the biopsies will reveal something this week. On Friday night, we had a game night with Stephen and Erin. Saturday, Patrick had an ultimate frisbee game and Wrigley and I supported him. Wrigley has decided he really likes hanging his head out of the window while we are riding in the car. He actually sometimes acts like a dog! I can't believe it! Later that night, we went to a a birthday party at Dave's house. Overall, we had a pretty low key weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather that we're having!
Tomorrow will begin our first day working out with P90X. I am not looking forward to it; however, Patrick is quite excited. We just watched the video before you're supposed to start the workout and I'm afraid I won't be very good at following the diet plan. Hopefully, we will lose some weight and get more toned after this is all said and done. We should be finished with it by our vacation in July. I have heard mixed reviews about it from people, so I'll try to keep you updated on our progress. Patrick has already lost about 15 pounds due to some stomach issues and I know I've gained probably 15 pounds since our wedding in 2008. Ugh! That should be motivation enough for me, but not so much. But tomorrow is the day! We shall see how we do! (Maybe by publishing this, I will be motivated to keep it up!)

TOMS
Now I know Patrick will hate these shoes and say that there is no need for me to have another pair of shoes, but I am really digging TOMS shoes. I really like the whole mission statement and yesterday was the day to go barefoot. My two favorites right now are these:
My birthday is coming up in June and I would love to receive a pair of these! Hopefully, I can work on Patrick since they are for a good cause and I've read reviews that say they are quite comfortable!!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!
Last night was a fantastic night for the second game of the season for the Braves! We had fabulous seats and it was absolutely perfect weather! I love the whole atmosphere of baseball games: the crack of the ball hitting the bat, beer, vendors, and the occasional wave spreading through the stadium. It's such a nice pace to enjoy several hours with friends. Patrick came late from work and Dave and I wished that Kat had been able to come, but there will be plenty more games to attend this summer!! Dave and I enjoyed walking around the entire stadium hunting for "the place that sells hot dogs that are more than just hot dogs". And then we both bought philly cheesesteaks. Now I was hungry so I ate it, but it wasn't terribly good and I probably will just get a hot dog next time. We also enjoyed sitting with Evan, Ali, and Joe and had a good time poking fun at the drunk guys who were trying to sit behind us then next to us. Who knows where they were really supposed to be sitting, but a good time was had by all.
I'm watching the game on tv right now and hope the Braves will pull this one out, but we are only in the 2nd inning losing by 1 so I have faith. Come on, Heyward (everyone's newest obsession)! I've still got to buy a t-shirt so I can fully support my team. I'm not sure if i should jump on the Heyward bandwagon just yet or not though I do like him. I might just have to get a Chipper jersey before he retires. We will see! I'm looking forward to the next game!

Jail Break!
Patrick and I went to visit my parents back home a few weeks ago and took Wrigley with us. I was pleased that Wrigley played pretty well with Tucker, my parents' corgi (they only had two snarling moments). This video is a clip that Patrick took of Tucker first moving his gate to run to the back of the house and then releasing Wrigley from his cage to play. (Tucker is also Wrigley's uncle and we are thinking that Wrigs will be bigger than Tucker is!! Ah! We might have a monster corgi on our hands! Tucker weighed 32 pounds at 3.5 years that weekend and Wrigley weighed in at 23 pounds at 5 months!)
