Why Hello, 2011!

Happy New Year, friends!! I wish we could have had an exciting night but I had to work this morning and 5:45 comes early. (Oh, who am I kidding, I don't wake up until 6am and Pat would correct me on here otherwise!) Sometimes, I wish that the hospitals could shut down for the holidays just like schools do and some businesses, but alas, people are always sick. My dad was on call this weekend too, so at least that made me feel better. The highlight of my night was not our steak and risotto dinner, but the fireworks that I could have sworn were being set off in our house at 12:30am! I woke P up because I thought someone was in our house! Haha!
My New Year's resolution is to run a half marathon in the fall. I'm a little nervous but my bestest is a fabulous runner (remember, she ran the 5K with me this year), so I'm hoping she can help me plan for it. Now I just have to start running again. *sigh*
I just wanted to send out a thanks for all my readers and yay, I now have 10 followers! Sweet! I hope y'all had a fantastic new year's and that this year will be the very best!

  1. Good luck on your half marathon training! I would love to do that someday.. A marathon seems a little too crazy for me, but a HALF marathon seems like a good long distance :)

    Happy New Year!

  2. Thanks, Kelly! I agree with you; I don't think I could do a full, but I'm hoping I can do the half! I figure if it is on paper, then I have to do it! Right?

Here is an easy and manageable program to follow...I've followed a few of his to train for races (10K & 8K). It's a 12 week training program and the most you actually run is 10 miles.
    I'm doing a 1/2 in March...the training officially began Dec 26th!
